SALATA “CREATE YOUR OWN”
-
CONCEPT:
- Salata, the Latin origin of the word salad, is the next generation salad bar, where
diners create their own, tossed-to-order fresh and healthy salads and salad wraps in
a warm and inviting setting with fast, friendly service. The initial idea for Salata
came to Owner/Franchisor Berge Simonian in early 2003, when he noticed a major climb
in sales in the salad-making section of the downtown Houston restaurant he had owned
and operated since 1994. After extensive research and development, he and business partner
Tony Kyoumjian developed Salata signature dressings, sauces and soups, and opened the
first Salata location in October 2005. By late 2009 there will be nine locations, in
Houston, Dallas and Plano, and Salata, with its solid foundation is poised for additional
growth.
-
MENU:
- A phenomenal array of lettuces, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, seeds and nuts – nearly
50 different ingredients to choose from, all included under a single salad price. Salata's
salad servers toss each creation to perfection, creating a unique, custom made salad
every time. For a "complete meal" salad, diners are offered a variety of protein choices,
from lean chicken breast in four flavors (pesto, chipotle, herb-marinated and Asian BBQ)
to baked salmon, marinated shrimp, krabmeat, seafood mix or any combination. Salads are
topped off with a selection of nine different housemade salad dressings. Diners can also
enjoy their creation as a wrap – the salads are mixed and then rolled in a fresh
flour tortilla, choice of Cool Cucumber, Wheat, Texas BBQ, Thai Ginger and Southwest.
The bill of fare also includes two freshly made soups, a selection of sliced breads,
and scrumptious brownies for a sweet ending. Eat good … look good … feel
good.
-
SALATA DRESSINGS:
- Available for take-home purchase in 12-ounce bottles, these specially developed, housemade
dressings include Fresh Herb Vinaigrette, Buttermilk Ranch, Classic Caesar, Honey Mustard,
Ginger Lime, Chipotle Ranch, Fat-Free Sun-Dried Tomato, Fat Free Mango and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
