Salad Days for Homeless Pets

Katy Freeway Salata partners with Citizens for Animal Protection

Salata, the Houston-based create-your-own salad restaurant, wants to play fetch. Beginning February 8th and for the next 90 days, the Salata Energy Corridor location at 14515 Katy Freeway (I-10 just east of Highway 6), has partnered with CAP to help adopt homeless animals into good homes and to bring in needed supplies for animals. For anyone who fetches (purchases) and then donates needed supplies to CAP at one of their drop-off locations or adopts a pet, CAP will provide a buy-one, get-one-free certificate for a custom-made Salata tossed salad or wrap.

The CAP donation is simple. The organization is looking for different kinds of pet food, supplies, stamps and bleach, among other items. Visit CAP online for a complete list. Donations can be made at the Citizens for Animal Protection Shelter, 11925 Katy Freeway or at the Petsmart Luv-A-Pet Adoption Centers staffed by CAP in Petsmart Stores located at 16758 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land; 2610 Eldridge Parkway and at 10500 Katy Freeway.  A CAP representative will reward donors with the Salata coupon. (Salata cannot accept items for donation at the restaurant).
